Mike Stevens, Washington State Director for The Nature Conservancy, will give a talk about the non-profit organization's recent purchase of land in the upper county and the Conservancy’s next steps on Monday, January 12th, beginning at 7:00 pm, at the Roslyn Public Library.

It is the largest acquisition by the Conservancy in this state. The Conservancy states that the land is important for people and wildflife alike, and that the purchase “is a rare opportunity for residents to conserve a precious piece of Washington’s natural heritage in the Cascade Mountains.” Mr. Stevens’ talk is free and open to the public. The Friends of the Roslyn Library will provide refreshments.
